Who We Are

Stress Clinic Uganda is a legally registered mental health and community development organization (Reg. No. 80034849709844), founded in 2023 to transform the lives of war-affected and poverty-stricken communities through access to community led-mental health care. We champion holistic well-being through integrated strategies that Rescue, Respond, and Rejuvenate individuals to rebuild, recover, and thrive.
We support marginalized individuals and families facing mental health challenges, violence, disability, displacement, neurodevelopment challenges and extreme poverty including children, youth, women, survivors of armed conflict, and other high-risk groups.

We have partnered with Strong Minds Gulu, Elephante Commons, Recreational Program and others to extend organized and impactful interventions. Internationally, we are a member of:

  • Mental Health Innovation Network
  • Global Mental Health Action Network
  • Climate & Health Group Forum
  • Global United People Forum and are fully trained by the UN and registered on the UN NGO Portal.

Our Executive Director has received international recognition for mental health advocacy, including:

  • Humanitarian of Africa – Champion of the Year 2024 (Hexa Media, Nigeria)
  • Africa Regional Representative & Board Advisory Member 2025 – Global Mental Health Action Network (UK)

These honors reflect our strong contribution to SDG 3 & 4: Good Health and Well-being and Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all respectively.
