My Environment, my responsibility care
This is a climate change youth-led initiative that provides interventions to address climate change concerns in our society.
Climate change has a substantial impact on health factors such as air quality, water availability, and food security, increasing preexisting health disparities. Recent occurrences, such as the famine in Uganda, have highlighted the critical need for robust healthcare systems. According to the World Health Organization, climate change is estimated to cause an additional 250,000 fatalities each year between 2030 and 2050 as a result of starvation, waterborne infections, vector-borne diseases, and heat stress. We conduct tree planting, policy conferences and awareness campaigns, collaboration and action partnerships with duty bearers to act, and the formation of Disaster Risk Reduction Committees to train and respond to natural disasters in their communities, among other things.
